Scheduling an Appointment for Your Child

Here at Shawnee Pediatric Dentistry, we know how busy families are with work, school, and extracurricular activities, and try our best to accommodate you as much as possible when scheduling appointments.

Over the years, we've found that most children, especially those with extensive dental work or those who are preschool age, do better when they're seen early in the morning. They're generally fresher and much less tired and easily frustrated when compared to appointments in the later afternoon, leading to a more positive experience for all involved.

Some of these earlier appointments may require your child to miss some school, but we'll gladly provide a note for your child to take to school so that these will be considered excused absences. With continued care, appointments during school can be kept to a minimum.

Rescheduling and Cancellations

If you find that you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment for your child, please give our office at least 24 hours notice for all cleaning and dental treatment appointments. We ask that you also let us know if you will be running late, so that we may adjust our schedules accordingly.

Our office reserves the right to charge a $35 fee for any missed appointments. All fees must be paid before scheduling another appointment.

We require a 5 business cancellation notice for all booked sedation cases. You may leave a message at 405-585-2005 anytime day or night. Repeated cancellations or failure to show up for appointments will result in the termination of the patient-doctor relationship. Our office will attempt to find another provider that may be better suited to meet your scheduling needs and expectations.

Notice of Non-Discrimination

We comply with applicable Federal civil rights laws and we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.
